Neck
Friday 9th September
Neck are a six-piece London-Irish Celtic punk band from the North London neighbourhood of Holloway. Following their front-man's cathartic 'Tour of Duty' as a member of the original line-up of Shane MacGowan and the Popes, Neck were 'born in a bottle' during late-night drinking sessions in 1994 by a mixture of Irish emigrant and second-generation Irish drinking buddies. The band takes their lead, both musically and ideologically, from two other London bands: The Clash and The Pogues, blending Punk rock with traditional Irish music to play a London-Irish style known as 'Psycho-Ceilídh'.

“Harper has so much musicianship in him that it just leaks out all over the place.”
— The Times
“If anything Nick Harper is the closest thing we've got to Lewis Carroll. His songs are the musical equivalent of Carroll's Looking Glass, peer through and you find a fantastical, magical world. Not always sugar sweet but forever different.”
— Maverick

Yorkshire flatcap banjo punks Shanghai Treason have gone from strength to strength since launching in 2019, they've supported and shared stages with the likes of Stiff Little Fingers, Buzzcocks, Ferocious Dog, Black Water County, Roughneck Riot, Bar Stool Preachers & More.
The band's highly anticipated self titled debut album was released in January 2022 to much critical acclaim ahead of Shanghai Treason's 13 date UK tour supporting folk punk legends The Rumjacks.
It's a high octane, knees up, party atmosphere kind of performance, leaving crowds with smiles all round reaching for a fresh round of pints, or two, or more likely three, it's just that kind of music.
