Phil ‘Swill’ Odgers is well known as singer and acoustic guitarist with award-winning folk rebel rockers The Men They Couldn’t Hang. He is also a formidable, well-loved and prolific solo artist in his own right. Born in Scotland to an Irish Mother and a Yorkshire Father and rerouted to the south of England as a kid, his writing style tells life stories with a conscience and a heart.
Audiences around the world from Cairo to Reykjavik, Brisbane to Tokyo, Toronto to Turin, have submitted to his effervescent and heartfelt vocal style in stadium, theatre, hall and after-hours lock in.

Jess Silks Birthday Bash 2024

With music from:
THE ENDINGS
A firm festival favourite, The Endings are a five piece celtic folk rock band playing tunes reminiscent of the Pogues and Dropkick Murphys, you'll have no choice but to get up and dance.
MATT JOHNSON & THE REPROBATES
With songs ranging in subject from love and family right through to politics and the plight of our wildlife, Matt Johnson & the Reprobates are one of our favourite bands to see live and we’re sure you’re gonna love them too.
JOE SOLO
Joe Solo is an award-winning musician, writer, poet, activist, broadcaster and washing machine engineer from Scarborough. His musical odyssey began in 1987 fronting a bash-em-out band at school, and has seen him play nine countries either as lynchpin of pop-punk upstarts Lithium Joe or hammering out his unique brand of Folk, Punk and Blues in his own right.

JESS SILK TRIO
Jess Silk is a guitarist, singer and songwriter from the Black Country. Her shouty but melodic brand of folk/punk music often has her being likened to a female Frank Turner or Billy Bragg, and it gets people sitting up and listening. Armed only with an increasingly sticker-covered acoustic guitar and a distinctive, gravely voice that many don’t expect, Jess plays to audiences up and down the UK.

"Right now, the Iranian Djalili is probably one of the most subversive, let alone funniest, comedians around" The Guardian
"To carve yourself out a career as the thinking person's comedian in this political climate takes a fine brain and a masterful way with the audience. There is no question that Omid Djalili possesses both" Sunday Times
